DGE Bill Palmer
Allentown-West Rotary Club

Bill Palmer joined Rotary in 1995 as a member of the Easton Club. He served as Club President in 1999-2000. In 2001 to 2003 he served as an Assistant Governor and he also served on the District Scholarship Committee for four years. He transferred to the Allentown-West club in 2001. There he served as Chair of the Polio Eradication Committee and worked on the annual auction fund-raiser, and chaired the By-laws re-write.

Since 2002 Bill has been a member of the Zone 31-32 faculty for RI Foundation training, taking him to many districts for presentations as well as many clubs in D-7430. And he serves on the faculty for the annual P.E.T.S. training meetings, and is a District 7430 Foundation Area Coordinator. Bill also has been an active member of the faculty of the Rotary Leadership Institute since 2002. Since 2003 he has served as D-7430's Chair for the Rotary Leadership Institute as well as the annual RLI event site chair.

Since 2006 Bill has been D-7430's Parliamentarian. He was the coordinator for the District Strategic Planning work and the 2006 re-write of the district Procedures and Guidelines. He and his wife, Yvette, are members of the Paul Harris Society, the Rotary Foundation Bequest Society, Benefactors and Major Donors.

Bill was born in San Jose', CA and raised in Woodbridge, NJ. He earned a BSME and an MSME from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He was Vice President of Sales for Ingersoll-Rand's Heat Transfer Division, and then President of Ecolaire Heat Transfer Company. He was the Chief Operating Officer for McGinley Mills Inc. until 1996 when he became a Business Consultant. From 1980 to 1993 Bill served as Director on the board of Valley Federal S&L.

In 1999 Bill married Yvette Hausler, a D-7430 Assistant Governor at the time who went on to be D-7430 Governor for 2002-2003. They live in Emmaus and operate CFO & Stuff, llc, a consulting company for small and start-up businesses. They love Rotary and they love to travel.
