Louis, with wife Barbara, developed commercial properties in Southwestern PA as LP Industries.  Lou and Barbara have four adopted children, Lisa, Louis, Douglas and Vincent; and seven grandchildren, Kallan, Lucas, Aurora, Connor, Keaton, Griffon and Fiona.

 

Lou has or is serving on boards of numerous civic and business organizations, including the Greater Bridgeville Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Pittsburgh Guild for the Blind, the Brothers Brother Foundation, President of the St. Agatha School Board, and member of FIRST Commonwealth Bank of Pennsylvania Growth Board.  Lou served on the board of the Bridgeville Borough Parking Authority for 9 years, including its Chairman during the period of establishing new self-sufficient parking lots for the business community.  Lou has received a number of civic honors, including "Man of the Year" by the Chartiers Valley Human Relations Commission in 1984, the 1985 Albert Gallatin Award for the Pittsburgh area for community and business achievement, and the 1995 Italian-American Sportsman’s "Man of the Year" for the Pittsburgh area.

 

A Rotarian since 1976, Lou continues to have fun serving in his Rotary Club of Bethel-St. Clair.  Lou has served Rotary as district governor, on a number of international committees, and on numerous leadership positions for Rotary and The Rotary Foundation.  Rotary has recognized him with its highest honor, the "Service Above Self" award.  The Rotary Foundation has recognized Lou with the Citation for Meritorious Service, the Distinguished Service Award, and the International Service Award for a Polio Free World

 

Lou’s Rotary Club named him “Rotarian of the Year” in 1997-98, an honor he values greatly.
