Dear In-coming Club President, Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic Presidents-Elect Training Seminar! From the moment you arrive, we are committed to making this a positive experience. Mid –Atlantic PETS is a collective effort of the leadership of Rotary International Districts 7390, 7430, 7450, 7500, 7630 and 7640, comprised of about 160 Rotary clubs on Maryland’s eastern shore, the State of Delaware, south central, eastern and southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Governors-Elect Ben Hoover, Bill Weber, Joel Chesney, Dan Cortese, Cam Yorkston and Ralph Owen have developed a program to help educate and inform you about Rotary and Service. This program will help fulfill your goals and the goals of your club in your community and in the world’s community! Remember as you take part in your classes and meetings that “Service” is the Heart of Rotary! During your training you will be teamed with other Presidents-Elect with the same number of members, problems and needs to give you the opportunity to learn form each other. Other times you will be teamed with your neighboring clubs from your same districts to meet with your Governor and Assistant Governor. Take advantage of this time to ask questions and to participate actively in our discussion groups. Your input is essential in these discussions. Many hours have gone into providing the best training possible: for you to move forward - take back, and lead your clubs. I encourage you to make new friendships and take advantage of all the resources offered. The members of your club:
I know your participation in PETS will prove to be a most meaningful opportunity for you! There is no limit to what we can accomplish. Working together - ready and willing, hand in hand to help those less fortunate and to provide service wherever it is needed. PETS is dedicated in making certain you will be among the best trained club Presidents in Rotary International. I wish you the best of luck in your future year! Your friend in Rotary Service, PDG Bernadette T
